Are you stuck outside of this year's San Diego Comic-Con? Or have you grown bored with the endless lines for panels, restrooms, and food? Fortunately, there's more to Comic-Con than a mere convention center can contain. And for fans of Marvel's Cloak and Dagger, Freeform has created a standalone experience that lets the daring feel what it's like to relive one of the key moments from the first season of the series.
Join SYFY WIRE's Whitney Moore as she bravely steps in to play "Dagger" in this recreation. For context, the Freeform series completely reinvented the Cloak and Dagger mythology. There's another level to their powers that isn't fully understood. Like their comic book counterparts, Cloak controls the ability to control darkness and to teleport, while Dagger can use light as a weapon. However, they can't touch, at all. Even a mere handshake will send them violently away from each other.
In the fourth episode of the season, Cloak and Dagger tested their powers to see what would happen if they touched while hiding away from prying eyes in an abandoned church. That's the scene that Whitney got to recreate in the SDCC Cloak and Dagger experience. For safety reasons, Whitney and her fellow traveler had to be securely strapped in before the stunt could be attempted. And even with proper precautions, Whitney came to regret a certain clothing choice...
But you'll have to watch the video to see the outcome of this event! Cloak and Dagger Season 1 airs Thursday nights on Freeform.
