The second day of San Diego Comic-Con 2018 is in the books, and the show is proving to be even wilder than we expected. Sometimes, even the studios can't predict what's going to break at the show, especially when the surprises come out of nowhere. Fortunately, SYFY WIRE is here to sort everything out in our daily wrap-up!

Join host Jackie Jennings as she welcomes Dany Roth and Andre Meadows to the SYFY stage to talk about the biggest stories from Day 2, starting with James Gunn's removal from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 over a series of offensive tweets that were recently unearthed. Where will the film go now that Gunn is completely off of the project?

Next on the agenda is the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. Joss Whedon is executive producing this new take on his classic series, which will re-imagine Buffy as a young woman of color. But can the reboot recapture the magic of the original?

We also caught up with WWE superstar John Cena to talk about his role in the Transformers spinoff movie, Bumblebee, before moving on to the Cloak and Dagger experience that recreates a specific moment from the first season. There are also a few highlights from our interview with Nathan Fillion about the Uncharted fan film and a round of Wynonna Earp trivia with Katherine Barrell and Dominique Provost-Chalkley. Can we trick them into revealing Waverly Earp's father?

And finally, we spoke with Adam Savage about his latest incognito Comic-Con costume and gave out the SYFY Fan Creator awards. For more Day 2 details, watch our Comic-Con wrap up video below!
