The high-concept Fox sitcom Son of Zorn has essentially transplanted a He-Man-style hero into the real world, and we caught up with the cast and crew to talk about what’s coming next for Zorn and his family.
Blastr chatted with director Eric Appel and co-stars Tim Meadows, Cheryl Hines and Johnny Pemberton at New York Comic Con about the series, and Appel said they’ve spent the first few episodes setting the building blocks for what’s to come as they prepare to dig into the relationships between the core characters. It’s already pretty crazy, but Appel said it’s getting even wilder by the back half of the season. they even have their own Skeletor knockoff on the way.
We also asked Meadows and Hines about which vintage cartoons they’d like to see the series draw from in the future, and the answers range from Scooby-Doo to Jonny Quest. Heck, we even get a cartoon anatomy lesson in all kinds of gory detail from Pemberton.
