Artist Tania del Rio has a unique style that infuses manga elements in her sketches, so she walked us through how to draw her take on Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Del Rio had an acclaimed run with the character a few years back, which is still beloved by fans. When mapping out Sabrina, she starts by framing it out with a stick figure (holding a broom, of course). Then she sketches out for the whole body and starts roughing out the details. She uses a mix of pen and pencil to get the face just right, then figures out what Sabrina is wearing (she has a penchant for a 1980s vibe, so it's a vintage outfit).
Then, of course, you have to throw in a little magic on the side. She is a witch, after all.
