Sex, drugs, and superheroes unite in the irreverent and wildly entertaining comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys. Set during the time frame of 2006-2008, this renegade title chronicles a world stuffed with corrupt crimefighters and the rowdy enforcement squad formed to monitor their questionable behaviors.
The Boys was originally published by Wildstorm when it first launched in October of 2006, then shifted over to Dynamite for the remainder if its run, which ended in November of 2012. Its devoted fanbase and popularity attracted the attention of former Supernatural showrunner Eric Kripke and Preacher producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, which led to a development deal with Amazon for an upcoming TV series adaptation.
Sure, The Boys is bloody, depraved, and morally questionable, but that's all part of its infinite charm! Here's our high-speed salute to Butcher Billy and his brutal black-ops team to prime you for the small-screen adaptation.
Ready? Leave your chaste intentions at the curb and let's dive on in!
