Ever noticed all the awesome graphic art found in the Harry Potter films, such as the Marauder's Map, the Daily Prophet, the Quidditch World Cup posters, book covers and more? They are the work of UK graphic design company MinaLima.
Earlier this year, fans from around the world flocked to Universal Orlando Resort for A Celebration of Harry Potter, and SYFY WIRE's Jackie Jennings was on hand for an interview (along with a walkthrough) with MinaLima's founders Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina.
During the interview, the duo revealed their favorite spot in the park was Diagon Alley. Having worked for years on the graphics for the movie location, they were actually in awe of the world that was recreated for the park. They also told us about how it took them six months to design all the packaging found in the four-story Weasley & Weasley shop.
"We had to take off our usual instinct to design nice and sophisticated designs and think how would two teenage boys come up with all this material. So we had to throw all of the rules out and become two teenage boys," Mina told us.
Check out the rest of the interview for a closer look at some of the wonderful items MinaLima created for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (as well as that of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) — including some nifty Easter eggs and stuff that sadly didn't make the cut in the films.
