Fox’s The Exorcist was one of the surprise critical hits of last season, starting with a slow boil and ramping up to one heck of a scary story. With Season 2 on the way, we caught up with the cast at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) to talk about the next case — and how Jonh Cho is terrified of horror movies.

We chatted with newcomers Cho and Brianna Hildebrand, plus stars Ben Daniels, Alfonso Herrera, and Kurt Egywian, to dig into the series. The cast reveals that the new season takes place a full six months after the Season 1 finale, and tease the new case the priests will be tackling, plus how Cho and Hildebrand factor into the proceedings. We also talk about the legacy of The Exorcist and horror in general, as Cho opens up about the first movie he ever saw in a theater at the age of 6. Turns out, it was not exactly age-appropriate.
