Based on Sarah Waters’ 2009 gothic novel, director Lenny Abrahamson’s (Room) The Little Stranger is opening in theaters tomorrow (Aug. 31). The haunted house film penned by Lucinda Coxon (The Danish Girl) stars Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars), Ruth Wilson (The Affair), Will Poulter (The Maze Runner), and Charlotte Rampling (Red Sparrow).
Ahead of the movie’s release, Gleeson, Wilson, and Abrahamson sat down with SYFY WIRE to play a fun game of Either/Or, where the trio was asked some pretty hard-hitting — and highly important — geek questions.
For example, would they rather have dinner with everyone’s favorite cannibal, Hannibal Lecter, or stay at the famed cabin in the woods from the titular horror movie? Which doll from hell actually scares them the most between Chucky and The Conjuring’s Annabelle? Do they choose Wes Craven or Stephen King? Is Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Sabrina the Teenage Witch their Chosen One? Which horror icon is scarier between Freddy and Jason? Do they prefer zombies or vampires? Sherlock Holmes or the Doctor?
Surprisingly, the Little Stranger gang pretty much agrees on everything, but it’s still a lot of fun to watch them explain their choices. Dig into our exclusive video either above or below, and let us know which ones would you pick in our game of Either/Or.
And if you'd like to spend some more time with the gang, we also discussed the complicated characters and themes playing out in The Little Stranger, and, of course, Gleeson's haunting mustache in the film, too.
