We have an exclusive clip from the new NatGeo event series Year Million, which focuses on how AI and technology will change the world as we know it.

The clip below features interviews with Marvel Comics writer Charles Soule, theoretical physicist Brian Greene and a few others talking about the idea of Year Million, trying to guess what the far future may look like.

They discuss what defines humanity, and how that definition might change in the future if humans are able to create real artificial intelligence. But the future might not be as bright as we hope (just watch Black Mirror if you need a refresher). If AI evolves so far in the future, could it eventually challenge our own dominance of the world? Technology has already changed the world we live in — but if this is any indication, cell phones and the internet are only the beginning.

Year Million premieres Monday, May 15, at 9/8c.
