The Terror doesn't hide what it is: terrifying. Set in the mid-1800s, the AMC series follows two British exploration ships that are trying to map the Arctic and find the Northwest Passage. Though the show is named for one of the two ships, The Terror, it explores a number of different terrors. The terror of nature, as the ships are frozen in the ice for years. The terror of the mind, as the crewmembers begin to go crazy from a combination of isolation and lead poisoning. And the terror of the supernatural, as an enormous, unearthly beast hunts down those that stray from the group.
When we last left The Terror, the crew had abandoned their frozen ships and are attempting to walk 800 miles to the nearest camp, in search of help. Along the way, a small, quiet mutiny is being formed, by a man who may not be who he says he is.
In this exclusive clip for next Monday's episode, "Terror Camp Clear," Captain Crozier (Jared Harris) instructs Lt. Little (Matthew McNulty) to prevent arming any additional men, especially as a dense fog threatens to roll into their camp.
The Terror airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. on AMC.
