Tom King (Batman) and Mitch Gerads' Mister Miracle was one of the standout titles for DC last year, winning high praise from critics and readers who were moved by the poignant, introspective character study of Jack Kirby's conflicted escape artist.

The first story arc of the 12-issue Fourth World saga has finally reached a climax with Issue #6 dropping on January 10, which centered primarily on Scott Free and the New Genesis heroes like Barda, Orion, and Lightray.

SYFY WIRE chatted with King on the next phase of Scott Free's assault on Darkseid's Apokolips in the second half of the celebrated series, the loneliness and isolation which can accompany Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and what lies at the true heart of Mister Miracle and his troubled past.

DC's Mister Miracle #7 hits comic shops on March 14.
