With the premiere of one of our most anticipated shows of 2017 right around the corner, we recently sat down with stars Emily Browning and Yetide Badaki to chat about showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green’s American Gods.
In American Gods, Sucker Punch star Emily Browning plays Laura Moon, the deceased wife of the show’s main hero, Shadow Moon, played by The 100’s Ricky Whittle. Browning reveals that Laura only properly arrives on the series in Episode 4 and that she'll get a different introduction as well as an entire backstory that’s not part of the book.
As for Yetide Badaki (Aquarius), who plays the Goddess of Love Bilquis, we’re told that her introduction in the series will be the same as the one from the novel. Having read it, I can guarantee you it’ll get everyone who hasn’t read Neil Gaiman’s book yet talking. A lot.
American Gods also stars Ian McShane, Pablo Schreiber, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones, Bruce Langley, Cloris Leachman, Kristin Chenoweth, Gillian Anderson, Corbin Bernsen, Demore Barnes, Jonathan Tucker, Peter Stormare and Jeremy Davies. The series will premiere April 30 on Starz.
