One of the coolest comics in Marvel’s catalog these days is the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, so we caught up with creative team Ryan North and Erica Henderson about what makes her tick.

One of the most inventive things about the ongoing Squirrel Girl run is the use of a Twitter-style intro page to make the series fill different (they even made the accounts in real life, so give them a follow). They also talk about the character herself, and how they’ve built up her own quirky team in supporting roles along the way. They also dig into who Squirrel Girl could beat up in the Marvel Universe, and that’s always a fun debate.

This is also a great deep dive with talented creators about how to make compelling comics in general, and if you’re not reading Squirrel Girl — you should be. It’s a ton of fun.
