Following the frenzy of C2E2, we had to skip last week’s video edition of Who Won the Week. However, we’re back stronger than ever with this week’s brand-new installment, and while a lot of stuff happened in the wonderful world of geekdom, there were two major events we felt were deserving of this week’s top honor.

Joining SYFY WIRE’s contributing editor Karama Horne for this week’s edition is none other than Editor-in-Chief Adam Swiderski, where the dynamic duo shared what was winning their weekend. While for Adam it was author Catherynne M. Valente’s novel Space Opera; for Karama, it was our Fangrrls video about the “herstory” of Lois Lane. Which you can watch here in case you happened to miss it.

Now. On to this week’s business. Unless you were trapped in the Time Vortex, most of you will know that this week marked Superman’s 80th birthday, and we at SYFY WIRE dedicated a whole week’s worth of coverage for the Man the Steel. Action Comics #1000 also hit newsstands and featured a bunch of writers paying tribute to Clark Kent — including Brian Michael Bendis in his first Superman story.

The second thing that made our week was Netflix’s launch of their Lost in Space reboot starring Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Ignacio Serricchio, Taylor Russell, Maxwell Jenkins, and Parker Posey as Dr. Smith. The darker take on the original 1960s series (itself based on Swiss Family Robinson) also featured a very cool redesigned robot.

So, who do you think won the week? Check out our video to find out, and chime in with your thoughts.
