As the primary narrative voice for the popular DC Superhero Girls run for younger readers, Shea Fontana has had the very enviable job of introducing a new generation of comic book readers, particularly girls, to the high school versions of seminal characters like Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

In an exclusive interview with Syfy Wire's Contributing Editor Tara Bennett, Shea Fontana sat down with us to talk about the importance of seeing young girls connect with superheroes that speak to them. And as the heir to DC's Wonder Woman Rebirth storyline later this year, Fontana reveals the impact Princess Diana of Themyscira has had on her life.

What impact has Wonder Woman had on your life? Let us know in the comments.
