We got to sit down and talk comics with Colleen Doran, one of the best writers and artists in the industry.

Some of Colleen's credits include drawing portions of the "Dream Country" and "A Game of You" arcs in Neil Gaiman's The Sandman (in fact, the character of Thessaly is based on her) and adapting and drawing Gaiman's short story "Troll Bridge." She's also worked on such titles as Wonder Woman, Legion of Superheroes and Teen Titans, and will be an artist on the upcoming comics adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods.

Colleen reveals that one of the most thrilling moments of her career was when she was chosen to do the artwork for the comics adaptation of Disney's Beauty and the Beast … which is second only to being able to tell Stan Lee's life story in Amazing Fantastic Incredible: A Marvelous Memoir.

Colleen also talks about the challenges of working with comics legend Alan Moore and the somewhat rocky transition from hand-drawn artwork to all-digital in the comics industry. Old-school pens and pencils still do the best job!

Oh, and she totally has a crush on Element Lad.
