Not every X-Man (or X-Woman) has the awesome power of telepathy or control of the weather. There's Cypher, whose mutant power was a mastery of languages. There's Skin, whose stretchy skin made him a limited Mr. Fantastic. Then there's Maggott, who had the power of, um, digestion. And then there's Gambit.
Remy LeBeau, aka Gambit, whose mutant power is turning potential energy into kinetic energy, is a love-him-or-hate-him kind of character. (Some love him for his flirtatious Cajun ways. Others hate him for his flirtatious Cajun ways.) And it seems that Professor Charles Xavier, leader of the X-Men, is in the "hate him" category.
Gambit came to the pages of The Uncanny X-Men in 1990, and since then he's been a lover, a fighter and a good guy with shades of gray. Watch as Professor X introduces him to his new role: unemployed guy.
