Friday was a very good day for Doctor Who fans. First off, we found out the Doctor (Matt Smith) was getting naked for charity, and then we saw the first awesome trailer for Who's upcoming Christmas episode, ''The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.'' Today we've got the sketch that actually HAS Smith stripping down for a good cause.
Presented as an introduction to the spiffy brand-new trailer shown during the "Children in Need" special on BBC One in the U.K. this Friday, the mini-sketch was written by showrunner Steven Moffat and has Matt Smith stripping down to nothing but his underwear. (All behind a screen, of course—children are watching, after all!)
Note of interest: The Doctor's jacket, as we're being told by our favorite Mad Man in a Blue Box, is made of ''infinity tweed,'' and if hit by a bullet or laser beam or ninja stars, it would be completely ruined. So don't you guys get any ideas about trying that jacket on while engaging in any kind of battle.
Oh, and check out just how many boots our beloved Doctor throws over the screen ... priceless.
Enjoy the pure wacky Doctor Who-ness of the skit!
