Are you sick of Carly Rae Jepsen's bouncy pop hit "Call Me Maybe" yet? Yeah, we thought so. Are you sick of the parody videos covering it? Well, what if we told you we had one that features Picard, Riker, Worf and the rest of the Star Trek: The Next Generation gang performing the song? No, really, we do. Watch this.
OK, so no one's actually singing here ... but it's still fun.
Basically, someone sat down with the lyrics to this frustratingly catchy tune and looked through hours of TNG footage (and some from Star Trek: First Contact) to find the characters saying the words. It's a little uneven, but the cool (and hilarious) thing is you get flat delivery juxtaposed with things like Riker screaming "Me!" at the top of his lungs.
And as an added bonus, there are even a few bits of dancing in the mix, including Picard doing a vaudeville number with a hat and cane and Q (John de Lancie) leading his own mariachi band.
Check out the video:
Doesn't it make that song so much better when Worf's one of the vocalists? No? Hey, we realize that for some of you, nothing can make that song palatable, so as a thank you for sticking around, here's that full clip of Picard's vaudeville number.
