The buzz has been mounting ever since some apparently kick-ass test footage was shown off at Comic-Con, and now we finally know when we'll get to see Marvel's Ant-Man on the big screen for ourselves.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Ant-Man will debut on Nov. 6, 2015, falling toward the end of Marvel's Phase Two slate coming down the pike. Or, hey, maybe it'll start Phase Three? Who knows.
The film will come well after Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy (Aug. 1, 2014) and could be the first Marvel flick to follow up The Avengers 2, which is set to bow in May 2015.
Other big news? Iron Man 3 (April 14, 2013) and Thor: The Dark World (Nov. 8, 2013) will both be released in 3-D, which isn't much of a surprise, since most everything is in 3-D these days.
But, back to Ant-Man. After kicking around the past few years it seems the studio has finally pegged director Edgar Wright into a shooting schedule, so look for everything from casting news to story tidbits to start trickling out within the next year or so. Plus, with so much lead time, there's always the chance we could meet up with Ant-Man in The Avengers 2.
What do you think? Are you glad Ant-Man is finally getting off the ground?
