After the big fakeout surrounding the will-they-won’t-they drama at the Super Bowl, the suspense is almost over. A Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is coming very, very soon.
It’s being reported that a 2 minute and 23 second trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy has been classified, meaning it's been vetted and rated to air on television and be released online. The news comes via the Alberta Film Ratings agency, which rated the trailer PG.
It’s almost silly to be following the potential release of a trailer so closely, but considering that this will mark the first non-sequel (excluding the crossover The Avengers) for Marvel since Thor back in 2011, it has a lot riding on it. Not to mention the fact that it’s one of the riskiest properties Marvel has ever brought to the big screen.
Though the Super Bowl might’ve been an obvious launching point for the first trailer, the ongoing Winter Olympics 2014 also present a pretty massive platform, so it’s possible Marvel could be planning a surprise debut to drop this one on us sooner rather than later during prime-time Olympics coverage.
What do you think? When will we finally get our first peek at Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan and the rest of the gang?
