After battling blood-sucking vampires in three Blade movies and fighting aliens in The Recall, Wesley Snipes is now facing off against supernatural phenomena in a high-tech military prison in this trailer for Armed Response.

The Saban Films and Lionsgate movie, helmed by John Stockwell (Blue Crush) from a script by Matt Savelloni, also stars Anne Heche, Dave Annable and WWE Superstar Seth Rollins. The thriller is produced by KISS’s very own Gene Simmons, who also has an undisclosed role in the film.

Snipes plays the leader of a special-ops team sent to investigate the mysterious disappearance of another team that was guarding a super high-tech military facility. The trailer doesn't reveal too much, but the fact that there two Wesley Snipes at one point makes me wonder just what the heck is going on. A bit of mind-bending horror, perhaps? Read up on the synopsis before checking out the trailer:

A team of special forces soldiers approach the designer of a high-tech military compound to investigate the disappearance of another team guarding the facility. The compound, known professionally as a Temple, is an artificial intelligence powered facility designed for interrogating high level prisoners. Upon entering the Temple, the soldiers quickly find the earlier team horrifically slaughtered but no evidence as to who is responsible.

Almost immediately, the crew begins to experience strange and horrific supernatural phenomena as they attempt to uncover who killed the previous team. Soon enough, they find a lone survivor, a dangerous terrorist who may hold the key to who killed the soldiers. But as the story goes on, we’ll learn that there’s more to it than we’ve been told and a dark secret the soldiers share may hold the key to surviving The Temple.

Armed Response will premiere in theaters and on demand on Aug. 4. Will the movie be a must-see for you?
