Looks like Wesley Snipes may have some unfinished business with Marvel's most famous vampire hunter.

In an interview with Deadline at San Diego Comic-Con earlier today, Wesley Snipes revealed that he’s had talks with Marvel about bringing Blade back to life. The actor was at SDCC promoting his upcoming NBC TV series The Player when discussion turned to Marvel’s badass vampire hunter (which Snipes played in three movies from 1998 to 2004) and his possible future with Marvel since the rights to the character reverted back to the studio a few years ago.

"The project is controlled by Marvel and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting and we discussed a number of things. I don’t know where it’s on their schedule at this point, that hasn’t been decided. I guess it’s still up in the air," Snipes said.

Of course, I’m sure a lot of fans would love to see Wesley Snipes reprise the role of the Daywalker in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic and TV Universe again. If not on the big screen (in the comic books, Blade was part of the Civil War storyline, where he registered and sided with S.H.I.E.L.D.), then perhaps on the small one? The character would definitely be at home on Netflix, where Marvel is at its grittiest (just watch Daredevil if you still haven't. It's brilliant):

"That’s a possibility too. I’ve always been a fan of these pieces and adaptations and I’d be nice to be a part of the family again. But if we don’t to a Blade 4 or something else with Marvel, we’ll do something else. We have some other characters and some other concepts that are going to be just as exciting and hopefully just as successful."

What do you think? Would you love to see Wesley Snipes put on his fangs and take out his double-edged sword again as Blade? How would you like to see him return?
