Westworld teases 'the end of the game' in third season's full trailer

Westworld has never been a show to leave well enough alone, so of course the HBO enigma was going to release another trailer compounding the mysteries of its San Diego Comic-Con tease. The adventures of Caleb (Aaron Paul), Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), and Maeve (Thandie Newton) have either just begun or only gotten stranger since fans met them for the first time.

This new trailer does nothing but hide more clues in an action-packed promise of a coming war. Who are the sides? Who's really in control? And how will the Man in Black factor into it all?

Just take a look and see if this makes sense ... or is just awesome:

Androids against humans! Or, perhaps, androids plus humans against some other humans! All that's clear is that Dolores is done with the pain this world has caused her. Too bad that Vincent Cassel's new character has tasked Maeve to kill her. The deaths likely won't stop there, as Dolores tells the Man in Black, aka William, that things are wrapping up for him as well: "Welcome to the end of the game." There's even one of Westworld's infamous covers: this time, it's "Sweet Child o' Mine." Nothing like Guns n' Roses to score a revolution -- especially one featuring Maeve with a katana.

Co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have been putting plenty of promos out for their cerebral sci-fi, including a fake ad for the company Incite Inc., which is definitely connected to the show's other evil company, Delos, right? The showrunners promised a season less focused on guessing games this time around, but that trailer certainly doesn't look to have many answers. Just a LOT more questions. At least fans are certain that the phrase on its poster is true: Free will isn't free.
