A sneak peek of the next Avengers flick is coming, and probably sooner than you think.

Earlier this month we got our first photos from the set of Joss Whedon's much-anticipated new Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure, confirming that production is definitely underway for the 2015 release. We hadn't expected to see any official footage from that production for a while, though. It might have been fair to guess that our first glimpse of the flick would be at Comic-Con in July, but apparently Marvel's not going to make us wait that long. It turns out we're getting a look at the film in just a few short weeks.

Next month, ABC will air a one-hour special chronicling the rise and success of Marvel Studios called Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe. According to EW, the special offers a “front row seat to the inception of Marvel Studios, the record-breaking films, the cultural phenomenon, and further expansion of the universe by Marvel Television.”

So, if you're as fascinated as we are by the way Marvel has made unprecedented strides in shared-universe filmmaking over the past six years, you'll definitely want to tune in for the behind-the-scenes look alone, but this special won't be devoted to how Marvel Studios became the blockbuster juggernaut it is today. Assembling a Universe also promises a "sneak peek" at several of Marvel's upcoming projects, including brand-new footage from future episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the upcoming films Captain America: The Winter SoldierGuardians of the Galaxy and, of course, Age of Ultron

What exactly Marvel will have to offer for a film that's still more than a year and a half away from its release is unclear, but the wait for the next outing of Earth's Mightiest Heroes is already so excruciating that we'll take anything we can get. "Sneak peek" might mean 15 seconds, but that's 15 seconds more than we had before.

Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe will premiere March 18 at 8/7C on ABC.
