The final quality of Marvel's big superheroes-in-space gamble is, as of yet, unknown, but it has already produced some pretty rad toys.
Remember when the Guardians of the Galaxy movie was announced and everyone thought, "Really? Space heroes? Because Green Lantern worked so well for DC ..."
Well, whether or not the Guardians movie will be any good is something that only a time-traveling version of myself could tell us. Since he hasn't turned up yet (sorry, future me is always running late), maybe let's focus on something we know will be pretty cool -- the action figures. Check these bad boys out:
Never mind future me -- past, little-kid me would be all over these. We've got Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon and Groot all in the lineup. Although, to be honest, even if a kid had no clue who these characters were, we're pretty confident they'd come up with a pretty fun story for these toys all on their own. Or they might just smash the figures together while making gun noises. Either way, fun is gonna be had.
The toys will be out in July and will sell for $19.99 a pop. What do you think? Worthy of a purchase?
