There’ve been unconfirmed rumblings of a Planet Hulk movie for a while, and we do know Marvel is at least considering another standalone flick, but Bruce Banner himself is apparently not too psyched to see the classic comic story come to live action.

MTV caught up with The Avengers’ Mark Ruffalo while he was out promoting a different project and asked him about those Planet Hulk rumors. According to Ruffalo, he doesn’t want to see Marvel go that direction — at least, not yet. Why? Because it's all Hulk, and he thinks the world still needs some more Bruce Banner before they sell out on the green guy.

Here’s the excerpt:

“They launch Bruce Banner into space to try to get rid of him and the Hulk. He ends up freaking out, smashing up the spaceship, and it goes off course and ends up on this planet of gladiator creatures. He falls in love, has a Hulk baby … and then the Avengers nuke the planet … I don’t think ['Planet Hulk'] is the way to go yet. I think you need more Banner. The whole thing is just him as Hulk, on a planet, fighting other gladiators.”

Check out a video snippet of the interview below, and let us know if you’d like to see a Planet Hulk movie at some point down the line.
