It's always really cool to see/hear a sci-fi icon gush about another sci-fi icon. In this case, we've got Doctor Who's Matt Smith showering some bromantic love on Farscape's Ben Browder.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (out tomorrow and featuring our good Doctor as you can see), Matt Smith gushed about his Doctor Who co-star, Farscape and Stargate SG-1's Ben Browder, who'll be appearing alongside our Time Lord in a western-themed episode during the first part of the upcoming season seven.

About the episode, Smith said:

We went out and shot in Almeria in Spain, where they shot The Good The Bad and the Ugly, a Fistful of Dollars. All the Sergio Leone stuff. Indiana Jones. All these great movies. You know, we've done Utah, we've done a great big Western, we've done New York. I think it's very exciting to see just where else it can go.

So how did Ben Browder do in that episode? (Warning: here comes the gushing.)

He did really well. He's great in it, actually. He brings that sort of American naturalism which we Brits just don't have, however hard we try. Yeah, he was great. He makes a good cowboy. He has that great drawl.

We really can't wait to see Browder in that Who episode. But in the meanwhile, you can still have a little peek at the actor in this preview trailer we showed you a while back.

So are you excited about seeing Ben Browder on Doctor Who? Do you think he'll bring his special brand of John Crichton charm and humor to the mix?
