When you’re a super, and fearless, crime-fighting DC Comics hero named Batman (well, that was a bit of a mouthful), you don’t get just one trailer, but two in (less than) one week!
Warner Bros. has released a second trailer for their upcoming The LEGO Batman Movie which sees the return of Will Arnett as a beatboxing Bruce Wayne/Batman.
While the first trailer was what they called the “Batcave Teaser Trailer,” this one centers on Wayne Manor. Once again, there’s not much about the movie’s overall plot we can glean besides the little we already know: That Batman will face-off against the Clown Prince of Crime. It does, however, have some hilarious references to all previous Batman movies—including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the Adam West 1966-1968 TV series.
Check it out, but be sure to stick around right until the very end of the video:
I love the shot of the Justice League running heroically behind Batman, LEGO-style, and seeing the Caped Crusader roundhouse kick Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) into a piano was hi-la-ri-ous.
Directed by Chris McKay and produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, The LEGO Batman Movie is a spinoff of 2014’s The LEGO Movie. But it’s vastly superior because it revolves entirely around him.
Featuring the vocal talents of Michael Cera as Batman’s sidekick Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, the brick-building movie will open on Feb. 10, 2017.
