With the season premiere of Hannibal just weeks away, NBC has dropped yet another trailer to remind us that the tables have turned.
At the end of the first season of the critically acclaimed cult hit series, Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) brought his scheme to frame mentally ill FBI profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) to fruition. Graham was jailed under suspicion of several vicious serial murders, and Lecter walked free. Now season two is set to show us what happens next as Hannibal continues to evade suspicion and Will fights from behind bars to convince everyone around him of the truth: that Lecter is a monster.
The new trailer features both reminders of some of season one's most iconic moments and several new teases of what awaits us in the second season. We see Lecter referred to as "the new Will Graham," working with the FBI and dining with Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne), who still seems to be diligently checking out Lecter. We see Lecter's psychologist, Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson), beginning to realize that there's more to Lecter than even she knew. And perhaps most importantly, we see even more of that often-teased clash between Crawford and Lecter.
And of course it's all delivered in that beautifull scary Hannibal style, with a high body count, beautiful food that you can't help wanting to eat even when you know that it's human flesh, and a little helpful narration in case you need a bit of a refresher. Check out the trailer below, and get ready for the season premiere of Hannibal Feb. 28 at 10/9C on NBC.
