It may be a bit of a wait until the third season of Cobra Kai hits screens — on Netflix no less! — but that doesn't mean fans will be starved of content featuring their favorite characters in the upcoming months.

IGN is reporting that Daniel, Johnny, and some of their well-trained karate students will return in the form of a new video game from GameMill Entertainment, set to be released Oct. 27. Titled Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid's Saga Continues, the game will see players take on the role of one of eight playable fighters, and have them progress from their respective dojos through the game's multiple levels, as they upgrade their character's skill trees in either Miyagi-Do or Cobra Kai karate, while also working to complete more than 28 story missions.

However, in order to discover the game's true conclusion, players will have to step into their rival's shoes and complete both dojos' story arcs. There will also be a two-player option available for the game, which is described as a "couch co-op side-scrolling beat-'em-up."

Check out the trailer below...

Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are both onboard to voice their beloved characters, who they'll once again reprise in Cobra Kai for an upcoming third season on Netflix in 2021. The series, which catches up with Daniel and Johnny 30 years after their All Valley Karate Tournament match in 1984's The Karate Kid, aired on YouTube Premium for its first two seasons, both of which arrive on Netflix Aug. 28.

Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues will kick-punch its way into stores Oct. 27, and will be available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

And in more news stemming from a classic '80s franchise, it would appear that some more beloved characters will be reappearing in game form. This time, its none other than Bill and Ted, who'll follow up their long-awaited feature film return in Bill & Ted Face the Music later this month, with an upcoming board game. Most excellent!

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the characters will feature in a new trivia game that will see players (quite fittingly) test their science and history trivia, as they try and collect six different historical figures to store in their own personal phone booths, each representing a specific subject. In a perfect nod to the original film, the six figures include Genghis Khan (Geography), Abraham Lincoln (U.S. History), Napoleon (World History), Joan of Arc (Women in History), Billy the Kid (Heinous History), and Beethoven (Music History).

Bill & Ted's Excellent Historical Trivia Travel Game

Bill & Ted's Excellent Historical Trivia Travel Game will also feature "Wyld" cards, a nod to their band Wyld Stallyns, that will test players' knowledge in terms of psychology (Freud), philosophy (Socrates), or certain other skills (Death). The first player to collect all six figures in their phone booth and submit them as part of an oral report at San Dimas High School passes history class and wins the game — and saves the world. (No pressure!)

Published by Barry & Jason Games and Entertainment, the game can be played by two to four players of ages 12 and up, and is perfect as a travel companion (as noted in its title) as it features magnetic cards as part of its telephone box-shaped design, which are significantly harder to lose than most regular game pieces.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Historical Trivia Travel Game will be available to purchase on Sept. 9 on Amazon
