Today, director Patty Jenkins tweeted out another look at the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984, this one being an image of Pedro Pascal's character, whom we know nothing about, other than the fact that he plays a "key role."
Based on the photo, which is obviously framed by an old-school TV set, he looks like some sort of smooth-talking '80s-era politician or Wall Street trader (a la Gordon Gekko) with perfectly coiffed hair and a smooth, three-piece suit. In essence, the exact opposite of the role he played in Netflix's Narcos, as DEA agent Javier Peña.
Jenkins' caption is even more mysterious, reading: "Can't…Stop… Watching… @PedroPascal1 !!! #WW84." The use of the word "watching" must refer to the television set that this photo was taken from, but other than that, we've got no idea who this guy is and how he fits into the life of Diana Prince (aka Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot).
Wonder Woman 1984 arrives in theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
