Get ready for an unusual look into Wonder Woman's life, this time through the eyes of her daughter.

The newly launched DC Black Label promises "edgy and provocative" works, and one of the first stories that's been announced is all about Wonder Woman's daughter. The current working title for the book, written by Greg Rucka (Wonder Woman, Batwoman) is Wonder Woman: Diana's Daughter, and as the title suggests, the book will be all about Wonder Woman's daughter. Although few other details are known yet, judging by the summary released, the story might not be what fans of Wonder Woman expect. It actually sounds pretty dark and gritty.

Here's what we know about Wonder Woman: Diana's Daughter so far:

It’s been 20 years since the world stopped looking to the skies for hope, help, and inspiration. Now the world keeps its eyes down, and the powers that have risen have every intention of keeping things that way. Amongst a scattered, broken resistance, a young woman seeks to reclaim what has been forgotten, and on the way will learn the truth about herself, her heritage, and her destiny.

DC Black Label promises stand-alone stories outside the typical universe giving creators opportunities to take the characters down atypical paths. But it's unknown whether this version of Diana Prince's daughter will be at all related to some previous iterations like her Earth-2 and alternate Earth daughters Lyta Trevor or Fury. It seems like the sky is the limit at this point.
