The CW has unveiled a new extended trailer for the upcoming fourth season of their post-apocalyptic series, The 100.

Season 4 picks up where we left off at the end of Season 3 after Clarke (Eliza Taylor) thankfully managed to pull the plug on A.L.I.E. (Erica Cerra), the evil A.I. who revealed that the remaining nuclear power plants not destroyed by the bombs had begun to melt down and that global radiation was now rising at a speedy rate. More than 90% of the planet's surface will be uninhabitable in less than six months, meaning that people will die some pretty horrible deaths.

Even though it's shorter than the first three--minute promo unveiled a month ago, the new trailer features a lot of brand-new scenes and centers less on the (new) impending apocalypse and more on character drama. It's dark (though a little less dark than the first one), action-packed, and there's a lot of screaming going on (Bellamy! Nooo!). There's also a fun moment of levity between Jasper (Devon Bostick) and Monty (Christopher Larkin) -- in a shower.

Check it out below and let us know if you're looking forward to the show's return. I know I am! It's been too long, my friends.

The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Henry Ian Cusick, Adina Porter, Isaiah Washington and Zach McGowan (who's been upped to series regular). Season 4 will premiere on The CW on Feb. 1.
