Writer and graphic novel creator Ed Brubaker is having a hell of a year.  His stellar 12-issue noir tale, The Fade Out, with artists Sean Phillips and Elizabeth Breitweiser, just won a Best Limited Series Eisner Award in July. And the team's latest, Kill or Be Killed (out today), is already garnering fantastic reviews.

Outside of the sequential art world, Brubaker's also been collaborating on some high-profile projects, like penning Nicolas Winding Refn's cinematic remake of Maniac Cop and working in the writers' room of the highly anticipated HBO series Westworld, helmed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.

At San Diego Comic-Con, Brubaker sat down with us for an exclusive update on all of his projects and how it's all impacted his writing.
