Earpers: hold onto your butts. Wynonna Earp is giving fans some tangible results after their efforts (and IDW Entertainment's resolved financial problems) earned the show a fourth season on SYFY. That's because today the show has a trifecta of info bombs for fans of the profane, hilarious, romantic romp through some of genre's strangest scenarios: a trailer, a premiere date, and the announcement of a Comic-Con@Home panel.
The latter will feature show creator Emily Andras and cast members Melanie Scrofano, Tim Rozon, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Katherine Barrell, and Varun Saranga in the Zoom-esque style that's taken over as the coronavirus pandemic has forced the industry into a new normal.
That new normal has also affected the show's scheduling: Because of the production halt, Wynonna Earp's fourth season will have a mid-season finale after its sixth episode. That'll give fans plenty to chew on — starting with the premiere on Sunday, July 26, at 10/9c — as the show gets back into production on the season's second half later this summer in Calgary. But let's not waste any more time and get to that trailer!
Check it out:
"Vacation is over, a*******!" What better way to welcome back this group of oddballs ... even if there seems to be a bit of an existential crisis brewing under the surface of this fan-forward trailer. While the infamous Earp Curse is broken, Wynonna still has to rescue everyone, save the town, and fight "her most diabolical, Earp-hating enemy yet," according to the official synopsis. Sounds like a plan.
The one-liners, the fistfights, and — yes — the gunslinging are all back in a slew of new footage. Demons, friends, foes, and "Jon Snow in a B-cup." Yes, it's true. It really is "so good to be home."
Wynonna Earp is heading back to SYFY on July 26, running until its mid-season finale on Sunday, Aug. 30.
