In addition to reprising her role as Kitty Pryde in X-Men: Days of Future Past, Ellen Page has also dabbled in videogame acting the past year. But, despite an uncanny resemblance, she didn’t act in the game most fans think.

The hit videogame Last of Us features a character named Ellie, who looks and sounds quite a lot like Page. Was the character inspired by her, or was it just a coincidence? We don’t know. But in a recent Reddit chat the actress did comment on the similarities.

Turns out she’s not too happy:

“I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond: Two Souls, so it was not appreciated.”

Yes, Page isn’t in Last of Us — but she does have a starring role in Beyond: Two Souls, which is apparently leading to a bit of confusion. Despite the mini-controversy, Last of Us has gone on to be a monster hit with fans and critics alike. As for Page’s actual game? It doesn’t hit shelves until October, so the jury is still out.

Have you played Last of Us? Do you think the character was based on Page, or is it just a weird mishap?
