In the wake of yesterday’s exciting (if a tad short) Instagram teaser trailer, a couple of brand-new pics from the upcoming X-Men flick Days of Future Past have been released.
Both EW and Empire have posted new stills from director Bryan Singer’s eagerly anticipated First Class sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The storyline is based on the beloved 1981 comic-book storyline by Chris Claremont and John Byrne.
What's cool about Days of Future Past is that it unites the cast from the original X-Men trilogy to the one of X-Men: First Class and includes a time-traveling twist that’ll hurl everyone’s favorite mutant Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back in time to the 1970s to change a few key events. (Namely those darn mutant-killing Sentinels created by Bolivar Trask, played by the awesome Peter Dinklage.)
Also back are Professor Xavier (Sir Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy), Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page), Rogue (Anna Paquin), Storm (Halle Berry) and more.
Bryan Singer says: “The stakes are high, not just for the world and the future but also the stakes of some of the characters. Clearly there was enormous fragmentation between the characters that happened at the end of First Class. That left the characters on a certain path. This movie will show you where those paths lead.”
Have a look at the gallery and let us know what you think. At least those'll tide us over until the full trailer hits next week. Are you looking forward to X-Men: Days of Future Past?
