An intense new trailer and poster for Robert Kirkman’s upcoming exorcism drama series Outcast have been unleashed.

The Cinemax TV series is based on Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta’s Skybound/Image comic book title Outcast, where the Walking Dead creator has traded-in zombies for demonic possession quite successfully, I might add.

Even though we’re still eagerly waiting for Season 1 to arrive, the 10-episode supernatural drama series has already been picked up for a second season, a sign that the premium cable network has faith in the new series, which means the show must be pretty good, right? Check out the new trailer, and let us know what you think:

Outcast follows Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now, with the help of the Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister), a preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers and regain the normal life he lost.

The series also stars Gabriel Bateman (Stalker), David Denman (13 Hours), Melinda McGraw (The X Files, Mad Men), Grace Zabriskie (The Killing), Catherine Dent (The Shield, Astronaut Wives Club) and Lee Tergesen (The Americans) and Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Brent Spiner.

Outcast premieres on Cinemax on June 3. Will it be a must-watch for you?
