You can actually go inside for a tour of the TARDIS on Google Maps

On Earl's Court Road there sits a lonely blue box. What's inside? Google Maps has the answer.

Doctor Who's 50th anniversary has held all sorts of surprises. And the latest is actually pretty cool, especially if you ever wanted to imagine that you could go inside the TARDIS.

So on Earl's Court Road there is an actual, real Police Box. But why leave something as cool as that alone? Seems like a wasted opoprtunity, doesn't it?

Google Maps seems to agree. If you click here, it'll take you to the street view. You'll find the option to enter the TARDIS on the left side of your screen.

It's really just the Control Room. Still, the best part is, after you walk around the TARDIS for a while, you can actually walk out its doors and back onto the street. It's charming and more fun than you'd expect Google Maps to be.
