John Constantine (Matt Ryan) is joining the crew of the Waverider for a short stint when Legends of Tomorrow returns for its midseason premiere next week, and he’ll bring with him a cool Easter egg from his days on NBC’s short-lived Constantine TV series.

The writers room for The CW comic book series shared a pic of a scrap of paper featuring the exorcist, demonologist and master of the dark arts’ phone number: and you can call it ahead of the series premiere. (We tried it and it totally works.)

Fans calling the number in Atlanta will get a message originally recorded by Ryan during Constantine’s run (2014-2015) that tells callers who reached the message in error to “sod off” but if they are looking for his help, not to leave a number and lock their doors, with the message ending in a busy signal (so that you can’t leave a message). The phone number was actually found on Constantine’s business card which was released by NBC as part of some viral marketing ahead of the show’s debut in 2014.

Constantine kicked off his two-episode arc when he showed up in the closing minutes of the midseason finale when he asked for Sara’s (Caity Lotz) help in a demonic possession case involving a little girl, revealing that the demon knows her name. (Sara and John have a bit of a history together since the Hellblazer showed up in the Season 4 episode of Arrow titled “Haunted” to save Sara’s soul.) Based on the recent trailer for “Daddy Darhkest,” that demon would appear to be Mallus himself (voiced by John Noble).

In a recent chat with TV Line, Lotz said about Sara’s interaction with him: “He’s like this really cocky guy who thinks he is the ‘ish.’ I think Sara throws him for a loop because he thinks he’s all impressive, but then she [makes attack noise] takes everybody down.” Despite that, the actress adds that the two of them will respect each other as “friends.”

Following his appearance on Legends of Tomorrow, Ryan will reprise the role in animated form on the CW Seed’s Constantine, slated to air sometime in the spring of 2018.

Legends of Tomorrow returns on Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
