U.S. audiences have to wait another seven weeks before Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters. That's roughly a month and a half. But apparently, if you're a traveler catching a flight on Air France, you can see the film a little earlier.
Air France has joined forces (no pun intended) with EuropaCorp CINEMAS to screen The Force Awakens three days before its U.S. and UK release. Four lucky Paris-bound flights from Los Angeles (AF065), San Francisco (AF083) and New York (AF011, AF009) will carry the movie on Dec. 15. If you want to get in on this, you need to reserve your seat by Dec. 10. Make sure to purchase directly from the Air France website.
This may be a last-ditch effort for fans who were unable to snag advance tickets. Many movie chains were overwhelmed by consumers in desperate need of their Star Wars fix. A lot of websites experienced technical difficulties and crashed due to the high purchasing volume. I wonder if the same thing will happen to Air France? If this flight is a legit possibility for you, hop on it. Who knows how quickly those seats will fill up.
How bad do you want to see an early screening of The Force Awakens? Is it worth an impromptu trip to Paris?
