The first official trailer for Officer Downe has finally been unleashed, and it’s pretty much everything you’ve been waiting for.

Based on Joe Casey and Chris Burnham’s ultra-violent 2010 graphic novel of the same name (see Exhibit A below), Officer Downe is directed by Slipknot’s Shawn Crahan from a script by Joe Casey (Ultimate Spider-Man, Ben 10: Omniverse). The comic book adaptation stars Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Alison Lohman (Drag Me to Hell), Tyler Ross (Zombieland), Lauren Luna Velez (Dexter), Meadow Williams (The Harvest) and Sam Witwer (Being Human, Star Wars Rebels).

Officer Downe centers on the movie's titular character, played by Kim Coates, a police officer who gets resurrected over and over and over again every time he bites the bullet, so he’s put back on the streets of L.A. to rid the City of Angels of some of the weirdest, wackiest villains ever. Killer nuns with machine guns? Check. Ninjas wearing gold and flowery outfits WITH GLITTER? Check. Take a look at the trailer and poster below, and let us know what you guys think.

Adapted from the 2010 graphic novel by Joe Casey and Chris Burnham, OFFICER DOWNE concocts a hyper-real Los Angeles for the story of a savage LA policeman who is repeatedly resurrected and returned to active duty via dark science technology. When a rookie officer named Gable is recruited as back up, he discovers there's much more to the titular super-cop than a mindless law enforcement drone warring against a twisted rouges gallery of over-the-top super-villains.

Officer Downe will hit movie theaters and be released On Demand, on Amazon Video and iTunes on Nov. 18.
