Justice League director Zack Snyder, needs to learn how to keep his sketches away from prying eyes. After all, one poorly-protected tablet from a year ago revealed the movie's second post-credits scene. You know, the one driving fans crazy, the one showing Show Spoiler the meeting between Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello) and their plans to establish the Legion of Doom . Yeah, that one.
Last September, Snyder tweeted a behind-the-scenes photo from the film's production. Remember, this was a good chunk of time before he left the reshoots in Joss Whedon's capable hands to grieve his daughter's suicide. The photo shows Snyder wearing one of Batman's heavily armored "gloves" while working on a tablet-displayed storyboard of some kind.
What he should have realized was the famous X-Files meme is no longer relevant with today's enhacement technologies because that very same day, people realized what the storyboard was showing. It wasn't long after that news outlets were reporting that Snyder had teased both Luthor and Deathstroke in some sort of scene together.
More than a year later and the suspicions have passed the reliability test with flying colors. Whether or not Warner Brothers got miffed at this breech of spoiler security is up for debate.
Surely, no one could have guessed the magnitude of what those black and white sketches could have meant for the future of the DCEU. But let that be a lesson to all you blockbuster directors out there. At least blur some of the more important details of your work if you're going to take a picture!
