Rick Worthy

Worthy began his career in theatre when he moved to Chicago where he performed at several prestigious Theatres including Chicago Dramatists Workshop, the Goodman Theater, and Victory Gardens Theater. Later, he moved to Los Angeles and received his first big break as Rickey Latrell, an NBA Star acquitted of murder, on the Steven Bochco drama "Murder One" in 1996. He then played Nathan Jackson, one of the Magnificent Seven on the CBS Western "The Magnificent Seven.” He has had several roles within the Star Trek franchise:  Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise. He also had a supporting role in the 1998 film Star Trek: Insurrection. He guest-starred in "The Warrior,” a 2003 episode of “Stargate SG-1,” where he made use of his Tae Kwon Do and stunt fighting skills as the Goa'uld Imhotep. He played Simon, Cylon #4 in the 2003–09 re-imagined version of "Battlestar Galactica" and soon after took on the role of Chris Didion in the brilliant John McNamara drama"EYES" starring Tim Daly and Garcelle Beauvais. Soon after Worthy played the ancient warrior Angel Camael in the 2006 ABC Family miniseries "Fallen" starring Paul Wesley and Fernanda Andrade. He appeared in four episodes of Heroes in 2009, playing Mike, Matt Parkman's partner, an experienced and capable Los Angeles cop. Many fans know Worthy from the TV series "Supernatural" where he played the Alpha Vampire in two episodes of Season 6 and one episode of Season 7 and Season 12. Worthy also played Rudy Hopkins, Bonnie's dad, in “The Vampire Diaries” starring Kat Graham. In addition, Worthy appeared on “NCIS” Season 10 as Navy Captain Logan Doyle. Worthy’s most recent credits include the role of Lem Washington, a freedom-fighter in the brilliant Frank Spotnitz drama, "The Man in the High Castle.” A native Detroiter, Rick Worthy graduated from Southfield Senior High in 1985 and then from the University of Michigan in 1990 with a concentration in Theatre and Film.
