Waverly returns to the barn where her Mictian visitor has been cobbling together a makeshift lightning rod. The science project aims to harness enough energy to fuse the demon with her body once and for all. If it doesn't, it's straight to the junk heap.

Wynonna wants to get into the barn to save her sister, but the Fraternal Order has already cordoned it off in preparation for their ritual extermination.

Using his negotiation skills, Doc offers the Order the plate in exchange for entrée into the barn. Because the plate contains a secret that blows the Order's cover, the firemen are eager to get it back. So they grant Wynonna, and her alone, access.
