Everyone mourns the death of Charles Garnett, but Roberta feels the biggest loss as she was really falling for the guy. And we were already thinking up shipper names. Charberta. Roberles.
Let's not forget Murphy, who is rapidly getting more and more zombified as the days wear on. They really need to get to California quick-like.
When Mack and Addy scout up ahead on their own, there's some concern over splitting up, but nobody's abandoned the team. Yet.
Mack has been giving some serious thought to leaving the team behind. After Addy guilts him into staying, they spot a sizable horde of zombies coming straight for them.
As the team (minus Addy and Mack) pulls into the Kansas gun show, Doc runs into his old pal, Sketchy McClane.
The team learns that the prize for the shooting contest could win them a gun big enough to trade for a new vehicle. Expert marksman 10K decides to enter.
This is Darren Cooper. Ex-Ranger. Sniper. 10K's stiffest competition for the shooting contest ... if he lives long enough.
This is Forman. He owns a tricked-out anti-zombie mega-vehicle he calls "the Forman-Mobile." Things don't go great for him.
Murphy has been slowly becoming more and more zombie-like. And now he's gone and bitten Forman. Also there was growling. What's that about?
This girl is basically the female 10K. And she couldn't be less interested in 10K's interest in her. This should make for an interesting shooting contest.
When Forman tells the bar patrons that a zombie bit him, they rush out to kill the attacker, leaving Roberta to bond with the bartender.
Citizen Z is handy for more than just plot clarification. Here, he finds that there's a "zunami" (yep) headed straight for Kansas.
Things really go bananas when the shooting starts and zombies are unleashed at the gun and liquor compound.
Murphy finds Forman dead (but not turned!), extracts his tooth from the body's shoulder and puts it back in his mouth. Hardcore.
Roberta drinks a ton, monologues about Charlie, finds a reason to keep living and kills the bartender. Now that's a character arc!
Things go from bad to worse when the zunami stampede blows into town.
After 10K saves her father's life and gives her the gun he won in the shooting contest, Brittany thanks him with a kiss on the cheek. You know how cute these young sharpshooters can be.
Now that she's properly mourned Charlie's death, Roberta takes on an old-timey gunslinger persona and kills a dozen zombies singlehandedly. And in slow-mo, of course.
Before the team rolls out of town, Brittany saves 10K's life with the gun he gave her. May they meet again!
Steampunk Addy takes a look at what's to come: the invading zombie typhoon.
