The road to California just got a little longer, as Z Nation has been renewed for a third season of zombie road-trippin' action!

The 15-hour third season will commence in 2016.

What the third season will involve has yet to be revealed, as we're currently only a little over halfway through Season 2. Will the gang make it to California? Will anyone else die? Will Murphy's baby reappear? Will Murphy die his beard white and dress as Papa Smurf for Halloween? (think about it - it could work). 

Tonight's episode, "RoZwell," adds a new element to the zombie apocalypse: aliens! Missi Pyle and Doug Jones make guest star appearances, as will Anthony Michael Hall and Gina Gershon in future Season 2 episodes.
