You guys. The zombie baby is sort of gross, right? But also sort of cute. Her name is Lucy, she survives mostly on sugar water, and seems to attract zombies. And this worries Roberta and the rest of the team. What exactly is up with this little lady?
As 10K continues to worry about Cassandra, he's also starting to worry about what Vasquez is up to. And … what is Vasquez up to? Always sneaking off by himself with a walkie-talkie. It's definitely sketchy.
Addy, Doc and 10K try to give Lucy a once-over in an attempt to figure out just what exactly's going on with her. An increasingly paranoid Murphy tells them he doesn't trust them and flees into the woods, leaving Cassandra to make sure he isn't followed.
Meanwhile, Vasquez's double-agenting with the Zeroes cartel isn't going as planned. When he sneaks off to rendezvous with them, he's taken prisoner and has to be saved by Roberta. And now, after a brief gunfight, they're being pursued by the zombified cartel members.
Looking for a place to patch up their wounds, Roberta and Vasquez head to a local hospital. They have to find sutures and antibacterial things, but first they have to kill every Z they see without ammunition.
Cassandra makes a tactical decision to go after Addy, which leaves 10K and Doc with the conundrum of having to save her. Zombie Cassandra turns out to be a pretty sharp cookie. So, new plan: let's try to reason with her. Heh ... yeah.
As Roberta continues to patch him up, Vasquez reveals he was a DEA agent forced to work for the Zeroes cartel. They'd kidnapped his wife and child and forced him to work for them in exchange for quick n' painless mercy. And … by the way, Vasquez might have just died from his wounds.
Murphy stumbles across a house in the woods where he asks a heavily armed couple to take Lucy and raise her as their own. Everyone's sort of on board with this plan until the would-be foster parents get a good look at the little monster.
Just as Roberta is about to give mercy to a seemingly dead Vasquez, he sits up on the table, very much alive! Oh, thank goodness - it would've been hard to stomach the death of a character with such a compelling backstory.
