Warning: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
It's baby Cole and baby Ramse! Running through the woods! And trying to find food! In flashback! They're adorable!
211870
But, in 2007, Ramse and Cole are waiting around the Emerson Hotel, trying to come up with a plan to kill The Witness. Something about this is not sitting right with Cole, and with good reason - if you'll recall, this is totally a set-up by Ramse and Olivia to kill Cassie. Will Cole figure it out in time?
211871
Back in 2046, Jennifer Goines is starting to freak out. She's getting those visions again and is drawing them all the time now. Everyone still seems to think she's a kook, but Jones sees an image of a dying man and wants to know who it is. Thing is? Jennifer doesn't know.
211872
The nice part about going back in time, is that you know who the gunrunners secretly were. Ramse and Cole rob a fake "bread truck" and make a lot of puns about bread.
211873
Deacon, meanwhile, is still trying to get Cassie off of Titan. Remember that weird period of time when they were a thing? Were we ever that young?
211874
Ramse continues to carry out his plan to kill Cassie. He has her paged at a hospital and follows her down a hallway where he shoots her in the head! Which should solve everything, Witness-wise.
211875
Nope. Turns out, Ramse shot the wrong lady.
211876
Now a little desperate, Ramse tries to get info out of Cole. He encourages him to meet up with Cassie somehow. Cole says that in 2007 she was in Parsippany, New Jersey at an outbreak at a community center. Cole just handed Ramse her location.
211877
After a tricky knife battle, Deacon and Cassie find their way off of Titan just as it splinters away. A quick warning from Mallick, though: "Find your son." Good job, Cassie, you made it out!
211878
The Army of the 12 Monkeys is in some disarray. The faithful members are aware that Cassie has escaped and the leadership wants answers. Mallick tries to wave them off, but suspicion is running rampant.
211879
Meanwhile, Jennifer Goines remembers that there was a map called "The Word of The Witness." She reminds Olivia that she's on to her - and if anything happens to Cole, she's dead.
211880
As Ramse gets to the Parsippanny Community Center to kill Cassie, he realizes that Cole was onto him the whole time. Ramse tells Cole something he didn't know before - that The Witness is his son.
211881
Sidebar, this all takes place at that food bank where we saw them at the top of the story.
211882
Meanwhile, Cassie and Deacon, who are off Titan in the distant future, come across the Compound where Jones keeps the machine. The Compound has been destroyed, except where someone has spray painted a butterfly. What's that about?
211883
Ultimately, after a lot of difficult dude-feelings between Cole and Ramse, there's a chase and Cole shoots Ramse to save Cassie. It's devastating and sad that these two brothers made it this far, only to part ways like this.
211885
Furious, Cole goes to kill Olivia. She stops him just in time by reminding him that he needs her - to find his son. And then he's interrupted once more by the arrival of two people splintering back into the Compound…
211886
Turns out what Cassie knows the butterfly symbol and she and Deacon find...an injection that can splinter them back to the compound in 2046 (Cassie figures she left it for herself when she gets back to the compound. Seems confusing but think about it for a minute).
211887
First, Deacon arrives and then…lo and behold, Cassie Railly has come home. With one look, she confirms the secret that Olivia and Ramse have been telling Cole -that their son is The Witness.
